mood rating: motivated Time: about 40 min In which I have learnt how to use bullet points :)
Turn oven on to about 200C Peel potatoes and cut into quarters (if they are big cut them into 8ths) put in the roasting tray with oil and toss around so they are coated and sprinkle liberally with salt Roast for 10 minutes. I set the timer and have a little rest until the timer goes off Add chicken legs Set timer for 10 min and you could make a salad, or you could have another little sit. When the timer goes off, shake everything around a bit and add the garlic, and set the timer for 10 min (do what you like with this time) Put the tomatoes in the gaps and on top and sprinkle over the breadcrumbs. Bake for 10 more minutes Serve a selection of potatoes, tomatoes, garlic and chicken to everyone. A green salad wouldn't go astray but I tend to chuck mine in the bin afterwards, so see if you can be bothered.

Ok, so I'm just rehashing old posts here, because I can't be bothered writing new ones. I am very lazy. I started this blog because my friend Maria went to work, so I gave her all my easy recipes, and then she said I should start a blog, and she is very wise. This is one of the recipes I gave her. When I wrote this I couldn't even use bullet points or anything. My, how I have grown as a person.
My daughter loves this. Not the vegetarian. The vegetarian one hates this. It is actually delicious especially for non-vegetarians. I lived in Melbourne for a while with my Late-ex-husband who was my boyfriend then. I made this when we had some friends who had emigrated from New Delhi over for dinner. They bought one of their Mothers who was visiting at the time from India with them, and I had to run and get a plate off the neighbour, because we only had 4 plates. He let us keep it. They loved it, and the Mother took the recipe back to India, because she liked it so much. The old Greek man across the road used to come over and try and visit me when the boyfriend went to work. He brought me flowers which I'd chuck in the bin. He also offered me money. I should have taken that but I didn't. I used to put these rating on but now I don't because I can't be arsed. I might make this lasagne this week, but I probably won't because I rarely have spinach, cottage cheese and pasta sheets all at the same time. I did buy some spinach to make it, but made a curry instead. It was delicious, but I have forgotten how to make it now, so I can't even put the recipe up. I might find a sad song, because I feel a bit sad thinking about my Melbourne days. It's there if you click sad song. It's Nick Cave. I saw him, but not in Melbourne. He was amazing. This is a bit painful, because it makes lots of dishes, but make a kid wash up. The dish you bake the lasagne in is a bastard to wash. I've warned you. skill rating: fairly easy mood rating: motivated but you make this the night before so for when you know you'll be tired Time: about 20 min; cooks in about 45 min You need:
Serve with a salad if you can be bothered. Or with baked potatoes because you can put them in the oven at the same time, but that is really a Carbohydrate overload if you ask me. I figure it already has tomatoes and spinach so it's pretty balanced. 25/5/2014 0 Comments Easy Curryskill rating: fairly easy mood rating: feel a little inspired Time: about 30 min You need: - Curry powder or paste - Can of tomatoes - Boneless Meat (about 200 - 300g) - Milk portion - cream, yoghurt (any type -fruit OK, good way to use up left over manky yoghurt from kids lunches), coconut milk, milk, evaporate milk, reduced cream - Veges - one of kumara, potato, pumpkin and one of peas, beans, spinach or tomato (the 'other' vegetable). If you are preparing, mix some curry paste or powder (about 2 teaspoons) with some yoghurt (a small pot) and put your diced meat in it to marinate. If you're starting at 5.30pm no stress. Put some oil in a pan, heat up, and your meat (and curry if you haven't marinated) and push around a bit. (if you did marinate, scrape the whole thing in). Once it smells fragrant add a can of tomatoes Add diced (about 1 to 1.5cm) potato, pumpkin or kumara. (put rice on now ) simmer 15 min Add other vegetable and simmer 5 min. Add milk thing you are using and mix in Season with salt, and add a teaspoon of sugar (if you aren't using sweetened yoghurt) |
