25/5/2014 Best ever Pasta and Cream sauce.skill rating: easy mood rating: motivated Time: about 15 min (but you'll have to get the cream on the way home) Pasta of your choosing - I like the one that looks like little mouse ears 300ml cream 2 cloves garlic cheese (parmesan or extra tasty) about 2 big handfuls grated Cook pasta in boiling water (about 10 or 11 min) While the pasta is cooking, crush garlic and fry in a little olive oil until clear (DO NOT burn it - or it will be ruined and you may as well buy takeaways). Add cream, and try not to boil it (I always do, but you shouldn't) Take off from heat and stir in cheese until it melts Taste and it might need some salt Drain pasta and stir sauce through. Grind pepper on top. Serve with a green salad, or if you have no greens, you can always add some peas to the sauce. I think that might be what they do somewhere, but adding peas is a bit crap really. Adding a bit for the delicious Kerrie whose hair is looking great with the blond (if you see her, tell her!) You can always add mushrooms, and bacon. I slice the mushrooms (don't even peel them ow!), put a knob of butter on top (about half a teaspoon) and microwave for a minute and then stir through at the end. I do this for whiny pants kids who don't want mushrooms in theirs. Otherwise fry the bacon and mushrooms at the start with the garlic. |
