mood rating: prepared, because you have to make it in advance Time: about 15 min, in the morning or night before I made this up when i bought some sponge fingers to make tiramisu but then realised I hadn't bought any of the other required ingredients. But this was Yum as. and the very best bit is the kids didn't like it that much, so I got to eat their left overs and there was some for the next night. you need
Beat the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk together with an electric beater. If you do it by hand it will not be smooth and will have little lumps. Pour the ginger ale into a shallow bowl, and pour yourself a glass to enjoy Dip the sponge fingers in the gingerale. You want them wet but not falling apart soaked Put the sponge fingers in a single layer in a square dish. A glass one would be good because you can see the layers, it could be round but then you have to break the fingers up a bit. Spread over cream cheese mix. You will have to do some figuring here because you want to do layers of sponge fingers - cream cheese - sponge fingers - cream cheese - and so on. I think I only did two layers, but you will have to work it out for your dish size Sprinkle with cocoa through a sieve to get rid of any little lumps. You could use crumbled up flake, or you could buy a flake and eat it and then put cocoa on. That's what I did. Leave in the fridge all day, or overnight. Cover with gladwrap but pull it tight or it will go on the cocoa and wreck the look of it.
