This is a weird recipe. I called it Tardis because the mixture looks like not much but it makes like a zillion cookies. Tonight I was going to make it because it's back to school tomorrow but then I was really hung over because I went to Gayle's party last night and she was all "have a margarita" so I did after already drinking too much cheap red wine, and this morning I wasn't pretty. Guitar man kept making circus noises because he said I was a clown. It was a G party and I was dressed as "Grunge" in overalls, not a clown. Anyway in the interests of quality parenting I ate a big-mac combo, medium though - (interesting fact), it is only 70 cents more for a large one; and I had a massive moe (or nana-nap). When I woke I was super industrious, in that I looked at chocolate chips pathetically and mooched around. The teenage daughter does have her NCEA Stats Internal to finish so she was happy to bake biscuits instead. Even as I write this I feel a bit shit, and gave my kids the good advice to "say no to Margaritas". They laughed at me because I can barely drink one glass of wine without getting a bit drunk. God I have to go back to work tomorrow too, though I have managed to locate some clothes to wear so that is a win.
Cream butter and sugars Add egg and vanilla and beat well Sift in flour and baking soda, and mix Add choc chips or other chunky stuff of your choosing and mix in. Put 1/2 teaspoon lots on a baking paper lined tray. YES 1/2 teaspoon lots. This is not a typo! Bake for 5-10 minutes. Keep a check on them from the 5 minute mark as they WILL burn as soon as your back is turned. Take out of the oven when they are just a little brown around the edges. Leave for a couple of minutes on the tray as they will be soft. Limit the kids to 3 at one time, because you're a bitch.
