12/12/2015 0 Comments Poached EggsMy 10 year old daughter recently learned to poach an egg, sometimes she makes poached eggs and bacon for afternoon tea. She'll make a good wife for a bikie which was her dream at 4. I was telling my friend Maria who revealed she does not know how to poach an egg (not the Maria you may know, she does know and makes heaps of organic free-range poached eggs to sit atop her Organic Quinoa and Kale Salad. In fact last time I visited her she was just poaching eggs for fun because she enjoys it so much). Oh PS went for a beer with Mark Day last night. He is the honestest trustworthiest man, that's not even the second beer talking. (it is):
You need:
Sprinkle with salt. Eat on vogels with avocado. or if you're international eat on a Cesaer salad or something (but make sure you put the anchovies in, I hate it when you order a Cesaer Salad and it is just lettuce (not even cos) or god forbid spinach, and bacon and croutons. WTF - the anchovies are the whole point of ordering it. One time I ordered it and said I wanted the anchovies and the waiter looked at me really weird and said "we don't do it like that" double WTF! Those of you who know me know I have some pedantic food ideas. This is one. Another one is the type of biscuits I will eat. More on that later unless you went to playcentre with me in which case you should have a fair idea. *Vinegar, it makes the protein coagulate so the egg stays together better. science is good.
